How to read these numbers — SunExpress publishes these limits in centimetres. The inch figures are our own conversion, always rounded down, never up. Airlines that print both units often print two figures that don't agree with each other — sometimes looser, sometimes stricter. When they disagree we go by the airline's own unit and round the other one down. Packing to our number keeps you inside the real limit.
What to expect
SunExpress ties your cabin allowance to the fare. On the base SunLight fare you get one under-seat bag of 40 × 30 × 20 cm, up to 4 kg. On SunValue, SunEco+ and SunComfort fares you get a larger cabin trolley of 55 × 40 × 23 cm, up to 8 kg; SunLight passengers can add it from about 19.99 EUR. Oversized hand baggage costs 80 EUR at the gate, so measure and weigh before you fly.
Soft bag vs hard case
With SunExpress the size and weight both depend on the fare: SunLight is a 4 kg under-seat bag, everything above it is an 8 kg trolley at 55 × 40 × 23 cm. The weight caps are strict and the gate penalty is a flat 80 EUR regardless of how far over you are, so a soft bag you can weigh at home beats a rigid case you find out about at the gate.
