Condor — official cabin limits

Allowance Max dimensions (cm — the airline's own figure) Second line: our conversion Max weight
Free personal item 40 × 30 × 15 cm≈ 15.7 × 11.8 × 5.9 in Not stated
Carry-on 55 × 40 × 23 cm≈ 21.6 × 15.7 × 9.0 in 8 kg≈ 17 lb

How to read these numbersCondor publishes these limits in centimetres. The inch figures are our own conversion, always rounded down, never up. Airlines that print both units often print two figures that don't agree with each other — sometimes looser, sometimes stricter. When they disagree we go by the airline's own unit and round the other one down. Packing to our number keeps you inside the real limit.

What to expect

Condor lets you take a small bag of 40 × 30 × 15 cm free on every flight, plus a cabin suitcase of 55 × 40 × 23 cm that is included depending on your fare. The dimensions are always the same, but the weight allowance and number of pieces change with the fare and route: the cabin suitcase can weigh up to 8 kg on the lightest fares and 10 kg or 16 kg on higher ones. Small bags go under the seat, the suitcase in the overhead locker.

Soft bag vs hard case

With Condor the size is fixed but the allowance is not: the same 55 × 40 × 23 cm suitcase may be included or paid, and its weight cap shifts between 8, 10 and 16 kg with your fare and route. Pack the suitcase to 8 kg and you are safe on any fare that includes it. In an exit row or Business Class you must stow all hand baggage in the overhead locker rather than under the seat.

Boarding tips

  • The small bag of 40 × 30 × 15 cm is free on every flight; the 55 × 40 × 23 cm cabin suitcase is included depending on your fare.
  • The weight allowance changes by fare and route, up to 8, 10 or 16 kg. Pack to 8 kg to stay safe, and check your booking for the exact figure.
  • The dimensions never change, only the weight and the number of pieces you may bring.
  • Excess weight or extra pieces are charged at check-in, and higher fees can apply at the gate.
  • In exit rows, behind cabin partitions and in Business Class, all hand baggage must go in the overhead locker.

Common questions

Is hand luggage free on Condor?

+
A small bag of 40 x 30 x 15 cm is free on every flight. The larger cabin suitcase of 55 x 40 x 23 cm is included depending on the fare and route you book, so on the lightest fares you may need to add it.

What are Condor's hand baggage dimensions?

+
The cabin suitcase is 55 x 40 x 23 cm and the small bag is 40 x 30 x 15 cm. Condor keeps these dimensions the same on every fare and route; only the weight allowance and number of pieces change.

How much can Condor hand luggage weigh?

+
It depends on the fare: the cabin suitcase can weigh up to 8 kg, 10 kg or 16 kg. Pack to 8 kg to stay safe on the lightest fares, and check your booking for the exact allowance on your route.

How many carry-on items can I bring on Condor?

+
Up to two, depending on your fare: the free small bag plus, on many fares, the larger cabin suitcase. On the lightest fares you may be limited to the small bag only. The small bag goes under the seat, the suitcase in the overhead locker.

What happens if my Condor hand luggage is too heavy or too big?

+
If it exceeds the weight your fare allows, or you bring more than your fare permits, excess baggage charges apply at check-in, and higher fees may apply at the gate. Passengers in exit rows or Business Class must stow all hand baggage overhead.

What is Vilanera?

+
Vilanera designs premium backpacks, bags and accessories for the way you dress — parent-aware on demand. We built this checker because we kept doing the same maths ourselves: every airline sets its own limits, publishes them in its own units, and changes them without warning. So we read each carrier's official policy at the source, stamp it with the date we checked, and let you measure your own bag against it — free, and with no sign-up.
