How to read these numbers — Jet2 publishes these limits in centimetres. The inch figures are our own conversion, always rounded down, never up. Airlines that print both units often print two figures that don't agree with each other — sometimes looser, sometimes stricter. When they disagree we go by the airline's own unit and round the other one down. Packing to our number keeps you inside the real limit.
What to expect
Jet2 is generous for a leisure airline: every passenger gets a 10 kg hand luggage allowance of 56 × 45 × 25 cm free on every fare, plus a small under-seat bag of 40 × 30 × 20 cm. Both are included as standard, wheels and handles counted. The catch is space, not price: on busy flights Jet2 may put your 10 kg bag in the hold free of charge, unless you pre-book Guaranteed Cabin Luggage.
Soft bag vs hard case
Jet2's hand luggage is roomier than most at 56 × 45 × 25 cm, and both bags are free, so the real risk is not the fee but the overhead space. On busy flights your 10 kg bag can be sent to the hold unless you have Guaranteed Cabin Luggage, so keep valuables and medication in the small under-seat bag. Wheels and handles count toward the 56 × 45 × 25 cm limit.
